The US Open
An illustrated journal of two unforgettable summers in the US Open.

A New Queens Tradition
I live in Astoria, Queens, just a short ride from one of the most iconic tennis tournaments in the world. Yet, until 2025, I had never experienced the US Open in person.
That year, Carlos and I went for the first time, and I brought my sketchbook and paints. I fell in love with everything: the energy, the crowds, the fashion, the colors, and the excitement of being there.
What started as a day at the tennis turned into something much more special: a new tradition of capturing the US Open, one illustration at a time.
The First Serve
My first US Open was unforgettable. I was completely captivated by the atmosphere, the energy of the matches, and the excitement everywhere I looked.
I brought my paints and filled an entire sketchbook, including its cover, capturing the little moments that made the experience so special. It was my way of being part of it all, not just as a spectator, but as an artist.

Back for More
In 2026, Carlos and I returned, and it was even better.
This time, everything felt more familiar. I knew what to expect, what I wanted to capture, and how I wanted to tell the story through my illustrations.
I created three new pieces, each inspired by the incredible energy that makes the US Open so special.
